‘I Choose’, Collection

The idea for this series emerged as Boyle revisited her past works, reconnecting with the emotions within them, and recognising how often they reflected unconscious responses to her lived experiences. This series explores what it means to take control of one’s choices — and the empowerment it yields.

While we all face countless choices each day, Boyle is not concerned with the menial ones — like ‘what should I wear?’ She is more interested in the deeper choices: how we respond, how we feel, and how we choose to move through difficult moments.

In her view, if you choose the situation you’re in — even when it’s hard — you stop fighting what you can’t control. If it’s raining and there’s no shelter, she suggests choosing the rain; that shift from resistance to acceptance can change everything.
